Member Spotlight: 

Jim Cottrell, a valued member of the Edgerton Area Chamber of Commerce, brings a lifetime of experience and dedication to our community. Born in Chicago, Jim spent 52 years in the printing industry, leading the estimating department of a nationwide company that printed everything from paperback books and textbooks to magazines and catalogs such as Playboy, National Geographic, Montgomery Ward, and Avon.

After retiring in 2010, he and his wife moved to Edgerton, where he immediately sought ways to get involved. Jim contributed to the Edgerton Sterling North Book & Film Festival, serving as Treasurer, maintaining the website, and producing promotional materials until the festival concluded in 2022.

His commitment to community outreach is evident through his long-standing work with the Edgerton Community Outreach, including delivering groceries twice a week for the past 14 years.

Jim also serves as Adjutant and Finance Officer for Ralph Amundson Post 30 of the American Legion and as Finance Officer for the Rock County Council of the American Legion.

Additionally, he is Secretary of the Edgerton Veterans Memorial Committee, which created the Veterans Memorial in Central Park, and continues to maintain its website. Jim and his wife are proud to live in Edgerton and are committed to supporting local businesses whenever possible.
